Guidelines

  1. Users are expected to bring their own laptop, as a key part of the course is to set up the laptop to suit the user. If you have a desktop, you will be loaned a laptop for the class and you will get the same one for all lessons so that you have your own Profile (personalised settings) on it.
Important: one person, one laptop, as this is essential for setting up the laptop profile for you as an individual.
  2. With your laptop, you will need your Power Supply and mouse (wired or wireless)
  3. The course content will be delivered face-to-face but to enable attendees to cope with a missed lesson, there is this online material to replicate the classroom course content.
Targeted practice material is also available online. The online material also serves the purpose of minimising the need for lengthy notes.
  4. The course content delivered in class will be replicated online, so that if you miss a lesson you are able to catch up in your own time.
  5. It is not possible to cover the use of alternative packages such as Open Office™ or Libre Office™ - the free (earlier-version) MS Office lookalikes - within the scope of these lessons. If you have such a setup, you can still benefit from the Windows 10 Setup parts of the course but you will miss out on the primary purpose of the course.
