Microsoft Word™ and how to get the best out of it

The New Interface:

What lies within and behind the ribbon

The menu system to access commands was replaced some years ago with the Ribbon Interface.

This means that if you are used to the location of commands within the old drop-down menu system, you have to re-learn.

However, whilst the visual difference is obvious, the practical difference, for most users is actually quite small, as the main ('Home') ribbon covers day-to-day commands in one view, effectively making the commands covered by the old first-level menus visible without any multiple clicking.

Take learning the new interface as an opportunity to refresh your knowledge of how to get the best out of Word™!
