Who is course this for?

Anyone who needs to use a Windows-based computer from time to time (that's all of us) and who struggle to do what they need to do with Word™ (that's about 90% of over-50s)

If you have a laptop, you will be using that, if you have a desktop, you will be loaned a laptop for the class and you will get the same one for all lessons so that you have your own Profile (personalised settings) on it.

It is not possible to cover the use of alternative packages such as Open Office™ or Libre Office™ within the scope of these lessons. If you have such a setup, you can still benefit from the Windows setup parts of the course. (Essential Skills 1 - 8), but you will miss out on the primary purpose of the course.

The course content delivered in class will be replicated online, so that if you miss a lesson you are able to catch up in your own time.

Important: one person - one laptop, as this is essential for setting up the laptop profile for you as an individual.
